It all started with a trip to Palm Desert and a failed mission at the PGA Superstore to find something cute to wear for a round of golf with my cousin and some friends. Two hours of fruitless searching later, we left the store with tennis skirts and men’s polos. I half-jokingly said to my cousin “Someone needs to do something about women’s fashion in golf." In that moment, the journey began.

While we initially set out to create a brand-new line of golf performance wear for women, our research quickly led us to discover that the fashion industry accounts for 10% of global emissions and stands as the #2 polluter of our planet. So I decided to pivot, and after some wild inspiration from my brilliant friend Kate McGuire, an incredible refashion designer and climate activist, a new idea was born. Named after the original Ladies Club of St. Andrews, I set out to create a line of one-of-a-kind, up-cycled, golf-inspired clothing that was at once unique, playful, nostalgic, irreverent AND sustainable. I wanted it to be something you can rock on or off the course, whether you play golf or not. I personally selected each and every pre-owned or vintage piece and patch. Every one was chosen with intention, every one has its own story, and every one was hand designed, created, and stitched BY ME with a lot of love.

I come from three generations of golfers and picked up the game myself at around ten years old. While the sport has historically been an intimidating, elitist, and often exclusive “gentleman’s” game steeped in tradition, OUR club was created by women and made for everyone. I do not want anyone to miss out on all the infuriating and yet expansive lessons golf has to teach you because you do not see yourself as fitting a mold. Because you are too afraid to get it wrong. I created these clothes to empower you to make your own rules. When you wear The Ladies Club and step onto the links or out into the street I want you to feel unique and self-expressed, vibrant, and confident. Confident enough to maybe get it wrong and be really f*^%+n good with it.

Like the game of golf, these clothes are not perfect. Each one is flawed and loved and tells a story. But they are fun!  And my hope is that in wearing them, we make your game and your life a little less serious and a little more fun too.

As my Bubbie would say, I hope you will wear them in good health!
